Welcome to DCCC's Interactive Multimedia Program's web
page. The Interactive Multimedia program has four options: an Associates
Degree in Interactive Multimedia, a Certificate in Interactive Multimedia,
an Associates Degree in Web Development, and a Certificate in Web Development.
Study in the Interactive Multimedia program is supported
by fully equipped computer laboratories. In addition to scheduled class
times students have access to the lab facilities with ample open lab
times.
The Interactive Multimedia Associates
in Applied Science degree is a full two-year program emphasizing
multimedia tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Authorware, Flash,
Director, Fireworks, and Dreamweaver which are industry standards in
developing web-based and computer-based training applications. In addition,
students attain proficiency in audio and video editing.
The Certificate in Interactive
Multimedia is a 5 course program focusing on the development of
computer-based training applications using development tools such as
Authorware, PhotoShop, Sound Forge XP, Media Studio Pro, Flash and Director.
The Web Development Associates in
Applied Science degree (available January 2005) is a multi-disciplinary
two-year program that exposes students to the design, networking, and
programming areas of the field. The program provides students with necessary
skills for creating and managing web sites using the most current technologies
including: HTML/XHTML, CSS, UNIX, Oracle/SQL, web scripting technologies
(PHP, JavaScript, ASP, Perl/CGI), and web application database technologies.
The Certificate in Web Development
is a 6 course program focusing on the development of interactive web
sites using HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl/CGI and incorporates
development tools such as Dreamweaver, Flash, Director, Photoshop and
Fireworks.
