Button Bar

The Button Bar contains shortcuts to the heavily used functions in the drop-down menus located at the top of the Nvu interface. The options available on this feature willbe discussed throughout the tutorial.

Formatting Bar
The Formatting Bar contains character and paragraph formatting options.

Document Tab Area

The Document Tab Area allows you to access the various HTML pages you have opened (if you choose to open those files in tabs instead of separate windows). Click here to learn more about this feature.

Document Area

The Document Area is where you work on your content. You add text, insert images, create links, etc., much like you would if you were working on a Word document.

View Tabs
The View Tabs area at the bottom of the Nvu interface allow you to view four different versions of the HTML file on which you are working. Each View Tab allows you to continue working on your document, but displays varying levels of HTML tags (and tag icons). Click here to learn more about this feature.
