Creating a Blank HTML Document

There are two ways to create a blank HTML document with Nvu:

When Nvu launches, it automatically creates a blank HTML document or, if Nvu is already open:

Using File > Open within Nvu.

Choose File > New.

 

 


Create a new document or template dialog box.

The Create a new document or template dialog box will appear.

Select A blank document from the What kind of file do you want to create? options.


Showing a new blank HTML document open within a tabbed window. A word about the Create in: options: You can select New Tab or New Window. If you select New Window, your new blank page will open in a separate window. If you choose New Tab, your new page will open in a new tab within the same Nvu window in which you started (see illustration below). Opening a new window within a tab, will cause less clutter on your taskbar.

Create in drop-down options.

Click the Create button.
