Important GroupWise Information

  • When you finish using GroupWise, click exit (in the upper right) to ensure your account is secure.

  • Use the address book to send messages to internal people. Address internal messages to "jdoe", not "jdoe@dccc.edu".

  • Use Save As to open attachments.

  • Messages open in a new window. If you have problems reading or sending messages, you may need to change your popup blocker settings to allow popup windows from GroupWise.

  • GroupWise WebAccess has a 20-minute inactivity timeout.
    • Activity includes clicking links and buttons; it does not include typing messages.
    • It's always a good idea to type long messages in Notepad or Word and cut/paste into GroupWise.

  • AOL Users: GroupWise WebAccess does not work well with AOL.
    • Open AOL and minimize the window.
    • Open Internet Explorer and open the GroupWise WebAccess page.

  • For adjunct faculty only - All messages will be deleted at the end of the semester; we strongly recommend printing important messages.
